UK- Date Set for Compulsory English Language Tests for Partners

It was previously announced in June 2010 that the UK Border Agency was to introduce compulsory English language testing for all non- EU migrants applying to come to the UK as a spouse or dependent partner

It was announced today that this will be implemented from the 29 November 2010.  From this date all non- EU migrants coming to the UK to join their spouse or dependent partner will have to demonstrate that they have reached a certain level of English.

UK- Tier 4 (General) Secure English Language Tests Now In Force

From today, any students applying to study a course below degree level (except foundation degrees) in the UK will have to demonstrate that they meet the required level of the English language.  This is for those applying under Tier 4 (General) of the Points Based System.
