UK- Compulsory English Language Tests Implementation Date Announced

From the 29th November 2010, it will become compulsory for those applying to come to the UK as a dependant to prove they meet the English language requirement laid out by the UK Border Agency. A compulsory English language test will have to be taken with an approved test provider.
In June 2010, it was announced that compulsory English language tests would become applicable to all non- EU migrants applying to come to the UK as dependants.
The rules will be applicable the following categories, all applying as the dependant of British citizen or a naturalized citizen:
