Cap on UK immigration announced

The Home Secretary Teresa May announced this week that a cap on immigration would be introduced.  The aim is to try and reduce net immigration to around early 1990s levels of around 60,000.

UK- Compulsory English Language Tests for Non-EU Partners and Spouses

The new UK coalition government has announced that it will shortly introduce compulsory English language tests for non-European migrants applying to come to the UK to join or marry their settled partner.

From autumn 2010, all applicants applying under the marriage, civil partner and unmarried partner rules will be required to demonstrate a basic command of English.

Hong Kong- Extension of Stay Applications can now be made Online

  • General Employment Visas
  • Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals
  • Non-local Graduates
  • Supplementary Labour Scheme
