Q. Do you charge for your services?

The initial telephone call or assessment form is free, but if you require a meeting or detailed consultation then we would have to charge for this service.  We would explain our services, how we can help you and provide you a fixed fee quotation for the initial advice.  Any fees paid for this consultation would be deducted if we were formally instructed to assist with your application

Q .Will you take my case on a no-win no-fee basis?

No, this is not a service we are able to offer.  We are an experienced firm with both qualified lawyers and consultants with years of experience in complex immigration casework.  If during the assessment stage we felt that your application was weak we would normally advise you of the risks of refusal at the outset.  We cannot guarantee that your application would be approved but we can provide an accurate assessment of the likelihood of success based on the evidence and facts you provide.

Q. Why do I need your services?  Can I not make the application myself?

You are perfectly entitled to make a visa application yourself, without using the services of any immigration lawyer.  You will find that many countries now allow you to make visa applications online, and we would urge you to carefully read the rules and policies before submitting your application as well as check you are paying the correct fee.

However given the complex, ever changing nature of immigration rules in the UK (and indeed across the world), we would strongly recommend seeking legal advice unless your application is straightforward.  By using a representative you are giving yourself the best possible chance of clearly understanding the merits of your application in order to achieve a positive outcome.  Also, if your application is initially unsuccessful, you could run up further costs when you re-submit or appeal against the original decision.

Q. Why should I use Newland Chase and not other immigration specialists?

The results and consistently high success rates produced by our team testify to what sets us apart in this field.  We frequently assist with challenging cases and are able to provide accurate advice and assistance to ensure both time and costs are not wasted.  Our specialists are experienced lawyers who have worked in some of the world’s most high profile law firms.  They are encouraged to work together as well as independently to find creative solutions to the most complex immigration problems, and are often applauded for their determination to ‘go the extra mile.’ However, our fixed fee structure means that you will get first class representation at a fraction of the costs charged by other firms.  We also hold regular training and development sessions for our consultants, as we believe in the value of keeping abreast of all developments in this constantly evolving area of law.  For feedback from our clients, please visit our Testimonials section.

Q. Are you part of the Home Office?
No, we are an independent firm and we are not part of the Home Office or the UK Border Agency.  However, we have established a relationship of trust and integrity with UKBA which means that we are able to liaise directly with decision makers within government to find solutions to your immigration issues and challenge particular policies where necessary.
