Immigration Summary

A Class D Entry/Work Permit is for qualified applicants who are offered employment by a specific employer, and whose engagement in that employment will be of benefit to Kenya. It is valid for a maximum of two years and may usually be renewed, up to a maximum of five years. The applicant may have a contract either directly with the Kenyan entity or may remain on contract outside Kenya.

A Special Pass application is filed at the Kenyan Immigration Department to enable business or short-term work activities in Kenya for a period of up to three months (extendable once to a maximum of six months).
