INDONESIA: Government Expands Visa-Free Nations

July 30, 2015

In an effort to boost the numbers of tourists visiting Indonesia, the Indonesian Government, encouraged by Tourism Minister Arief Yahyah, have taken the drastic steps of expanding the number of Visa-Free countries from 15 to 45.

Although those wishing to travel to Indonesia for the sights and sounds will be encouraged by this new move, the new countries will not share the same benefits of the original 15 who are permitted to travel for business trips to Indonesia without a business  visa.

Who will this affect?

Although tourists will benefit primarily,  businesses should pay attention to ensure they remain compliant and recall that they are still required to apply for a visa for business trips from the additional countries.
